 Virtual Planit - Landscape Architects

Virtual Planit Group are a Manchester based Landscape Architects, employing 40+ staff. They are split into two separate divisions, one concentrates on the practical aspects of planning and implementation of projects, whilst the other generates digital media representations based on the plans.

Sequoia Media was employed to augment the newly proposed Liverpool Anfield Stadium project with more realistic atmosphere, trees , plants and vegetation. Architectural stills and animations had already been completed by the stadium architects, however these concentrated solely on the stadium. As the landscape architects, Virtual Planit wanted to present the stadium in a more realistic environment so that people could see how the stadium would actually look within the context of its locale.

Sequoia Media utilised Cinema4D for modeling and EON Software Vue d'Espirit to generate realistic landscapes. More detail can be found on the Anfield Project page.

 Sharp Corporation

Sharp are a major corporation based in Japan, with subsidiaries in 50+ countries, employing 60,000 staff worldwide. In the UK they develop Mobile Handsets for the UK and European markets. One department critical to the successful development of handsets is the Product Verification Department (PVD). PVD provides in-house and field testing of all handsets (and software releases) prior to final production and shipment of handsets throughout Europe.

During the testing of handsets, a lot of test data is collected and stored, but in many different small systems. There was a need to have all of these separate systems integrated, and accessible through a single interface (preferably through a WEB browser).

Sequoia Media were employed to develop this system (see PASS) , which now provides secure data store of test results, with the additional benefit of fast and convenient analysis tools to generate graphical reports of test progress.

"The most difficult part of Software buying is making sure you get what you want. This isn't always what we set out and ordered at the start of the project. So using Sequoia Media has been an easy business decision. Working with Martin and tapping into his experience allowed us to benefit from his extensive software knowledge and valuable end-user appreciation. This made life purchasing proprietary Software a lot easier than it can be."

"Oh yes, the SW works well too."

Logos Group (Italy) - Honda Motors Europe

Working through Logos, as a freelance Flash specialist, Sequoia Media provided Honda Motor Europe with a semi-automated solution to translate a large (50+ slides) FLASH presentation into 28 languages.

With Logos providing the translation services, Sequoia Media was employed to solve the problem of extracting text objects from the Flash files.
